PDF Mighty Jack and Zita the Spacegirl with Free EASY Reading!

My 5yo and I love the Ben Hatke books. The Zita trilogy is amazing and books 1 and 2 of Mighty Jack are fantastic. They are the few books that hold my son’s attention each time we read them. We also have have Little Robot, who’s main character has a cameo in Mighty Jack book 1! I recommend them all. I was looking forward to Mighty Jack and Zita the Spacegirl very very much, but I’m sorry to say that I’m a little disappointed in both the artwork and the story. This book seems to be out of step with the others. Zita is older than I would have liked (I got over that), Lilly’s character seemed too weak, Phelix is lacking his likable arrogant charm, and the way the Giants are defeated left me scratching my head. Don’t let me ruin it though... it’s just my opinion. At first read, I think this book is worth two stars by itself, but I gave it four stars because I like the other books so much that I must take the good with the mediocre. I’ll read this again (and again) as I did with the others and hope it gets better, but sadly my first read fell short of my expectations of Ben Hatke’s brilliance. Even my 5yo, who is usually riveted, was paying little attention. I can only hope Ben Hatke has better stories to come. My son and I are still fans and I’ll continue to marvel at the artwork and plot twists and turns from the other books... this one might take a few more reads.
